Level 1 — Essential — $280
About 2 hours. The smart minimum before buying any used car.
- Complete visual inspection: exterior, interior, glass, lights, panel gaps
- Underhood check: fluid levels and condition, belts, hoses, battery terminals
- Underbody inspection on the lift: frame, suspension, steering, exhaust, fluid leaks
- Tires: tread-depth measurements plus uneven-wear check
- Brakes: pad thickness and rotor condition measured
- Full scan of all electronic modules with code report
- Battery and charging-system test
- Road test: engine, transmission shifts, brakes, steering, unusual noises
- Written checklist report with our technician's verdict: buy, negotiate, or walk away
Level 2 — Comprehensive — $480
About 3 hours. Everything in Level 1, plus a deeper dive:
- A/C performance check (vent temperatures and pressures)
- Cooling system inspection
- Transmission, differential and transfer case: fluid condition and leak check
- Full electrical function test: windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof, seats, lights, wipers, sensors — every button and switch
- Suspension and steering component-by-component check (bushings, ball joints, tie rods, shocks)
- Alignment quick-check on the rack
- Detailed written report with photos
Level 3 — Concours — $899
About 5 hours (half day). Everything in Level 2, plus:
- Engine compression and leak-down test (cylinder health)
- Paint-thickness measurement on every panel — detects prior accident repairs and repaints
- Borescope inspection: inside cylinders, frame rails and hidden cavities
- Fluid condition analysis (engine, transmission, coolant, brake fluid)
- Service-history and open-recall verification
- Complete photo dossier and comprehensive written report
- Built for high-end European, exotic, and collector cars
